"Since November 2006, all my Pap Smear tests came back positive for moderate (grade II) cervical high grade dysplasia (confirmed by biopsy). I had two Leep procedures done (standard medical “treatment”) with no positive result; The dysplasia was still there. My doctor proposed a third Leep procedure, warning me that it is mandatory to prevent the dysplasia from transforming into something very serious. I refused the third Leep procedure, and I immediately came to Yu Kang, LAC, RD, LD, DIPOM at the end of 2008.

For the first time in many months I felt that I was treated like a human being, and that somebody genuinely cares about me. With a patience and kindness that I could never imagine Yu Kang, OMD, listened to all the things that I had to say, and then told me about the treatment that I had to follow. She also told me that I need to be patient, because the body needs time to recover, and strictly follow all the things that she prescribed for me (including the dietary changes). She gave me hope and courage in a time when all the other “doctors” warned me that my only chance to prevent a worsening of the dysplasia is a third Leep procedure.

After about four months of treatment my lab results came back normal. I received a phone call from my doctor, and she told me that she could not explain the radical change in my condition (after so many failed attempts to improve my health through the standard “procedures”).

I had another Pap Smear test and biopsy after six more months, and both of them came back normal.

This is my story that I wanted to share with all the other patients. My message is: do not be desperate, and do not always limit your treatment options to what the standard “doctor” says. Many of them do not even want to hear about “alternative” options (as in the case of my doctor). If you just want to listen to what they have to say, you might miss your chance to regain your so much desired health.

Finally, I would like to tell all the patients to do exactly what Yu Kang, LAC, RD, LD, DIPOM tells you to do. I did (fruit smoothies, eight grains soup, more fruits and vegetables, more exercise) and thanks to her, I avoided a third harmful surgery. Trust Yu Kang, LAC, RD, LD, DIPOM, trust yourself, and do not give up!

I just wanted to let you know that when I woke up on Wednesday, the inflammation in my ankle/foot due to the gout had dropped dramatically. Remember, I said it was about an 8.5 on the pain scale that evening? When I woke up, it was about a 2, mostly due to the swelling/fluid stilll left. Usually, on Day 2, I'm still in a lot of pain.
